Historical promotional efforts centered around an eye-catching mailer. In 2014, collateral was redesigned to be versatile enough to iterate using seasonal color refreshes, while remaining recognizable and cohesive over time.  

To meet the largely digital-first needs, the 2021 redesign featured a strong grid that allowed for quick updates while maintaining strong, consistent brand identity. The flexible and expansive color palette, tailored to harmonize with each event, set a welcoming, dynamic, and energetic tone that underlined the shift to free programming.

LIVE FROM THE NYPL

LIVE from the NYPL is The New York Public Library's flagship event series, offering programs that are as unique and engaging as the Library itself and embody the institution's mission to educate, inform, and inspire the diverse community it serves in New York and beyond. 


For more than 20 years, the LIVE ticketed event series has taken place in the flagship building on 5th avenue. Beginning in 2021, it began a robust virtual program and hosted in-person programs in the Library’s largest, state-of-the-art circulating branch in Midtown. 


The promotional pieces aimed at capturing the exciting and dynamic nature of the series. The design evolved over time to remain fresh, reflect programmatic changes, and adapt to meet growing digital needs.
