THE POLONSKY EXHIBITION OF THE
NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY’S TREASURES

For 125 years, the Library has collected, safeguarded, and made accessible the world’s history, stewarding more than 46 million items that tell incredible stories and inspire the millions who visit each year.

The Polonsky Exhibition of The New York Public Library’s Treasures is a permanent exhibition that brings to life and makes accessible like never before the most cherished Library holdings and the historical stories behind them.

Developed in partnership with key stakeholders, the exhibition’s identity was applied across a robust campaign. The array of signage and promotional pieces included room and wayfinding signs, in-gallery digital screens, building and street pole banners along 5th Avenue, a month-long Subway domination at Union Square that reached an average of 2.8 million New Yorkers, posters, brochures, ads (in outlets including The New York Times in print and online, The New Yorker, and the New York Review of Books), merchandise, and numerous web and social assets.
