SUBWAY LIBRARY

To help New Yorkers enjoy their commute and make knowledge and information accessible to all, The New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library, Queens Library, the MTA, and Transit Wireless partnered to provide Subway riders in New York City with free access to hundreds of e-books, excerpts, and short stories right on the train.

As part of the celebration, the Subway Library project featured a specially wrapped "Library Train" with an interior designed to look like NYPL's Rose Main Reading Room, which ran on the E and F lines through Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens.

The project also included a suite of promotional posters throughout the Subway systems.
